似たようなことを、言葉を変えて言ってみるなら下のような文もいいです。

「好きな曲もあるけど、コアなファンなわけではない。」

この場合、次のような言い方ができますよ。

「そのバンドの曲はよく聴くけど、彼らについてはあまり知らない」
何かについて詳しくないことは I don't know much about ... のように言うことができます。
