一回参加できるとメールしたのに仕事で参加できなくなったって英語でなんて言うの？

一度メールでその日程は参加できます、と答えたのに、自分の仕事の都合でどうしても今回参加できなくなりました。それを英語で何てメールしたら良いか教えてください。

in a previous email 「先のメールで・前のメールで」
be able to attend ...「…に参加できる」
can't make it「都合をつけることができない」

ーIn a prior email I said that I would be present at the event on May 12th, but I can't make it now because of work on that day.
「先のメールで5月12日のイベントには参加すると言いましたが、その日仕事のため都合をつけることができなくなりました。」
in a prior email で「先のメールで・前のメールで」
be present「出席する・参加する」
