誰々のいる所に(行った)って英語でなんて言うの？

日記を書いてて友達のところに行ったって書きたいのですが
I went to friend でいいのでしょうか？

I dropped by my friend's.
my friend's で「友達の家」という意味にもなります。
drop by は「立ち寄る」という意味です。
