日本ではごみを捨てる際に、ほとんどの自治体で曜日によってゴミの分別が決まっているので、

「ゴミ集積所」は、

\"the recycling area\"

と教えてあげるといいかもしれません。

ちなみに、私がアメリカにいた時は全くごみの分別がなかったので、

\"dumpster\"
「ゴミの集積箱」

と言っていました。

garbage collection areaと言います。
直訳すると、
garbage collection areaは「ゴミの回収の場所」ですね。
