get toは「～にたどり着く」という意味です。

主語はweを使えば良いです。

「話題」はtopicとかconversationとかpointと言います。この場合、topicとpointが特にいいと思います。
「辿る」はto followと言います。そして、「話題にたどり着かない」はdon't follow and arrive at the topicに訳せますが、followが入らなくても、意味がほぼ一緒だと思います。
例文：This person says a lot of unnecessary things and doesn't arrive at the point (of the conversation). （この人と話してると、余計なことばっか言ってきて話題にたどり着かない。）
