色々言い方ができると思いますが、二つほど例を挙げてみます。 I would like to have one minute of free talk time at the beginning of our lesson. （レッスンの最初に1分間フリートークの時間が欲しいです。） Could we make time for free talk at the beginning of the lesson for one minute? （レッスンの最初に1分間フリートークの時間を作れますか？） 「~の初めに」はat the beginning of ~で表していけます。 参考になれば幸いです。

Could we start the lesson with a one-minute free talk? Could you give us one minute at the beginning to talk about anything? Could we have a one-minute warm-up talk at the start of class? 「授業の始めに」は at the beginning of the lesson / at the start of class で言えます。 「1分間」は for one minute / one minute です。
