likeの場合はbetter thanに言い換えることもできます。
意味が変わるとは思わないですが、
google検索すると、
I like it more thanが46,500,000件に対して
I like it better thanは20,300,000件ヒットするので、
more thanの方が使用頻度は高いようですね。
アメリカ人ネイティヴに聞いた時にも、「どちらも意味は同じだが、more thanの方が自然」と言ってたような記憶があります。
