あれこれしている内に時間が経ってたって英語でなんて言うの？

Question

「普段は日中何しているの？」と聞かれたとき。
これといった用事がないにも関わらず、子どもの世話や家事、買い物等をしていると、気づいたら時間が経って一日が終わっている。
と言うニュアンスを伝えたいです。

ーWhile I'm doing this and that, my whole day seems to go by.
「あれこれしている間に、1日が過ぎていくようだ」
to do this and that で「あれこれする」
to go by で「（時間が）過ぎ去る」

ーI just do this and that, and before I know it the whole day is gone.
「あれこれしているといつの間にか1日が終わっている」
before I know it で「いつの間にか」
the whole day is gone で「丸いちにが過ぎ去っている」＝「1日が終わっている」
