文法の質問です。What do you think is a reasonable price for this? となっていましたが、これは何だと思いますか？ だと、What do you think this is? となっています。上の文章だと、What do you think VS で、下の文書は What do you think SV です。この違いが、理解できません。
What do you think VS とWhat do you think SVのどちらも使える場合があります。
例えば、
これはいくらぐらいが相場なんだろう？
What do you think a reasonable price for this is?も
What do you think is a reasonable price for this?もどちらでもOKです。意味の違いとしてあまりないです。
でも確かに、What do you think this is?の代わりにWhat do you think is this?使えませんね。不自然です。

この場合、次のような言い方ができますよ。
ーWhat's the going rate for these?
「これの相場っていくら？」
ーWhat do you think the going rate is for something like this?
「こういうのの相場っていくらくらいだと思う？」
「相場」は、going rate と言えます。
