Was I correct? I'm not sure.. は大丈夫です！自然です。
I'm checking it on the web. は少し古い言い方です。問題なく通じますけど、今の時代では "check on the web" を言う人はあまりいません。
"I'll check (online)" や "I'll google it" (ググってみる) はよく使われます。
"I'll check" を言えば、ほとんどの人はネットで調べるんだ～と思います。
"look it up" も同じです。
I'm not sure if it was correct or not. I'll check it out on the web.
Was it correct what I said earlier? I'll look into it.

また、別の言い方ですが、「Was it correct what I said earlier? I'll look into it.」と言えます。短くなりますが、「ネットで調べてみよ」はそのまま「I'll look into it.」で十分だと思います。
