田舎から上京した日をって英語でなんて言うの？

昔を思い出した時です。田舎から上京した日をあの日を忘れる事はない。I will never forget the day I moved here from the countryside. 通じますか？若い女子がカジュアル風に使う言い方や自然な言い方あったら教えてほしいです。
