A pacifist is someone who is against war in general and believes everyone should live in peace with each other - so obviously, such person does not like fighting.
A conscientious objector is an person who refuses to attend military service based on grounds of freedom, personal conscience, or religion.
A pacifist：平和主義者は、一般に戦争に反対し、誰もが互いに平和で生きていなければならないと考えている人です。明らかに、そのような人は戦いが好きではありません。
A conscientious objector ；とは、自由、個人的良心、または宗教の理由に基づいて兵役に参加することを拒否する者である。
There are people who will always want peace at all costs. Such people do not like violence n any form, whether it is heavy fighting such as war between nations or person to person fighting. They will want to avoid confrontation at all costs. An individual like that can be called a peaceful person.
You may say:
Jack is a very peaceful person. He doesn't like fighting.
There are people, and I think most people, who believe that war and violence are unjustifiable. Such people will try to avoid war or any form of violence at all costs. Such people may be called pacifists.
So, you may say:
Even though he has been provoked so much, he will not fight because he is a 'pacifist'.
いかなる代償を払っても常に平和を求める人がいます。そのような人は、国家間の戦争であろうと個人同士の争いであろうといかなる形態の暴力を嫌います。

If you describe someone as a peacenik , you mean that they are strongly opposed to war.

Expression: "Keep your cool"
This means that someone is able to be calm in a situation and does not loose control. You can use this expression when referring to someone who does not like to fight with people. They would rather remain calm and stay in control of their emotions.
