試合に出させてくれることは、次のような言い方をすると自然な感じで良いでしょう。
ーThe coach let me play in a game.
「コーチは私を試合でプレーさせてくれた」
ーThe coach put me in for a few minutes.
「コーチは私を数分試合に出してくれた」
例：
I'm not a really good soccer player, but my coach put me in a game for a few minutes because we were winning.
「私はあまり上手なサッカー選手ではないが、勝っている試合だったので、コーチは私を数分試合に出してくれた」

「あまり試合に出れない自分にチャンスをくれた」の「チャンス」を強調するために、「The coach gave me the chance to play in the game.」がちょうど良いです。
しかし、「put me in the game」もよく言われると思います。英語では、決まり文句の「Put me in coach!」＝「コーチさん、試合にださせてくれ！」は普通です。
