この場合、次のような言い方ができますよ。

ーShe looked put off when she heard that.
「あの子、それを聞いてうわって顔をしてた」
to look put off で「ドン引きして見える」と言えます。

ーShe had a disgusted look on her face when she heard that.
「あの子、それを聞いて呆れた顔してたよ」
to have a disgusted look on one's face で「呆れた顔をする・不快そうな顔をする」と言えます。

"you could tell from the expression on her face that"＝「彼女の表情から～だと分かった」

（the expression on her faceの代わりにher facial expressionでもOKです。）
