朝遅くまで寝てしまったって英語でなんて言うの？

①　"I was drinking until late last night,"＝「昨夜は夜遅くまで飲んでいた、」

"and I ended up waking up late this morning."＝「そして今朝は遅く起きてしまった。」

②　"Yesterday, I was drinking late into the night"＝「昨日、夜遅くまで飲んでいて」

"and couldn't wake up until late this morning."＝「今朝は遅くなるまで起き上がれなかった。」

この場合、次のような言い方ができますよ。

ーI was up late drinking last night, so I slept until quite late this morning.
「昨夜遅くまで飲んでいて、今朝遅くまで寝ていた」
to sleep until quite late で「遅くまで寝る」

ーI was drinking until the wee hours last night, so I slept in much later than usual this morning.
「昨日深夜過ぎまで飲んでいて、今朝はいつもより遅くまで寝ていた」
to sleep in much later than usual で「いつもよりずっと遅くまで寝る」

このような状況では「I slept in」と言っても全然大丈夫です。

しかし、もっと具体的に言ったら、「I slept in well past the morning.」になります。

この二つの表現をどっちでも使っても、昨日は朝まで飲んでたのでたくさん寝たと言うニュアンスがします。

例文：

Yesterday, I was up late drinking, so I slept late into the morning.
昨日、夜遅くまで飲んでて、朝遅くまで寝てしまった。
