買い物していて間に合わなかった!って英語でなんて言うの？

この場合、次のような言い方ができますよ。

ーSorry I was shopping and couldn't make it back home on time for our lesson.
「すみません、買い物しててレッスンに間に合うよう家に帰れませんでした」＝「買い物しててレッスンに間に合わなかった」

ーMy shopping went a little long so I'm still on my way home. Sorry about that.
「買い物が長引いて、まだ帰宅途中です。すみません」
on my way home「家に帰る途中」
