避けて通るって英語でなんて言うの？

道に犬の糞や嘔吐があり、そこを避けて通る場合の「避けて通る」ってなんていいますか。circumventでしょうか。

この場合、次のような言い方ができますよ。

ーI went around a big pile of bear poop that was in the middle of the road.
「道路の真ん中にあった大きな熊の糞の山を避けて通った」
to go around を使って「避けて通る」ことを言えます。

ーThere was dog poop on the sidewalk, so I avoided it by walking along the side of the road.
「歩道に犬の糞があったので、避けて道路の端を歩いた」
to avoid を使っても表現できます。
