この場合、英語では「巻き込まれる」という言い方はしないで、次のような言い方をすると自然だと思います。

「屋根から雪が落ちてきたとき、たまたま家の横を歩いていて私の上に落ちた」＝「家の横を歩いていたら、屋根からの落雪に巻き込まれた」
ーI got hit by falling snow from the roof of my neighbour's house when I was walking by yesterday.
「昨日歩いていたら近所の家の屋根からの落雪が当たった」
to get hit by falling snow from the room of ... で「…の屋根からの落雪に巻き込まれる」とも言えます。
