この場合、次のような言い方ができますよ。

ーI understand that sentence the way it is.
「その文章はそのままで理解します」
the way it is で「そのままで・そのとおりで」と言えます。

ーI get that sentence the way it's worded now.
「その文章は今表現されているままででわかります」
the way it's worded now で「言葉で表されているとおりで」

少し変えて、
