first name, given name, forename
こちらは全て「下の名前」という意味です。「下の名前」と言っても、国によって名前の順番は違うと思うので「苗字ではない方の名前」ですね。笑
苗字より先にくることから first や fore がついていたりしますね。first name, forename どちらも「前の名前」が直訳ですね。given name は「与えられた名前」ですね。
僕の経験上、最もよく使われるのは first name だと思います。middle name（ミドルネーム）、last name（苗字）とセットで、カジュアルで一般的な言い方です。
下の名前はfirst name.
名字はfamily nameの他に、last name, sur nameと言ったりもします。
また外国人は複数名前があることも多くあり、二つ目以降の下の名前をmiddle nameといいます。

Middle name - a middle name is the name that follows the 'forename' and precedes the surname. Again it is given at/following birth but it is the choice of the parents as to whether a baby is given this additional name.
