得票率、って英語でなんて言うの？

The popular votes: 一般投票の得票(数/率)
The electoral votes: 選挙人の得票(数/率)

ヒラリーは一般投票では上回っていたが@選挙人の得票数で負けた。

｛解説｝
「得票率」は日本語でも難しいですよね。これを使わず言い表すこともできます。

win more votes than someone
↑これで「だれだれ（someone）の得票を上回る」となります。

米大統領選挙では、総得票数ではなく獲得選挙人数で勝敗が決まりますね。
この「選挙人団」のことを Electoral College と言います。

｛例｝
Hillary Clinton won more votes than Trump did.
ヒラリー・クリントン氏はトランプ氏よりも得票が多かった。
