《英訳例》
「流行語」は buzzword と訳せると思います。
「ユーキャン新語・流行語大賞」は英語では the U-Can New Words and Buzzwords Awards と呼ばれています。

海外にも流行語大賞はあります。
Word of the Year「その年の単語（言葉）」と呼ばれます。
主なところでは、Oxford Dictionariesが発表するものと、ADS(American Dialect Society)という団体が発表するものの２種類があり、前者がイギリス版流行語大賞、後者がアメリカ版流行語大賞のように考えると良いです。
イギリス版は毎年１２月の半ばころ、アメリカ版は年が明けた１月の頭頃に発表されます。
私も毎年楽しみにしています。
昨年（２０１７年）のWord of the Yearはそれぞれ以下の通りです。

近年は政治的文脈でよく使われる言葉が選ばれている印象です。
