社内IRの説明会は毎回、希望者のみが参加します。って英語でなんて言うの？

強制参加は mandatory participationと言います。それに対して自由参加は voluntary participationと言います。

この場面では participation（参加）でも attendance（出席）でも使えます。

「"社内IRの説明会は毎回、希望者のみが参加します。」と言いたいなら Attendance of the internal Investor Relations meeting voluntary　や Participation in the internal Investor Relations meeting is voluntaryなどと言えます。

また、of their own free will (自分から）とも言えます。例えば Participants come of their own free will（参加者は自分から参加します）。
