「日本語版」は Japanese version と言います。
「日本語版はまだ未発売なので、英語版を買いました」でしたら
Its Japanese version has not released yet, so I bought the English one.
などと言います。
(文末のone は version のこと。同じ語を繰り返さないために使っています）
[未発売」 は「まだ発売されていない」という意味ですので、
～has not released yet. とするか、
~is yet to release などとします。
(be yet to~ まだ～していない）

It depends what thing has a Japanese version as the description may vary.
1. A book, for example, would be said to have been translated into Japanese.
2. Generally, of course you could just say that something is a Japanese version. "This film is a Japanese version of the Spielberg film, ET." But that is not very clear. Has the film been completely remade? Or does the original film just have a voiceover? So more detailed explanation is necessary in most cases to fully explain.

"This version is in Japanese."(これは日本語版です)とは、あるものが日本でしか使われていないバージョンであることです。

We can either talk about it being the Japanese version or edition and still keep the same meaning.

You can use the phrase "Japanese version" for a book or film. If it is specifically for a book then "Japanese translation" is more precise or for a film you could ask for it with "Japanese subtitles or dubbing"
本や映画には"Japanese version"(日本版)というフレーズを使うことができます。本であれば"Japanese translation"(日本語訳)の方がより的確です。
または映画では"Japanese subtitles or dubbing"(日本語字幕または吹き替え)付きのものを求めることもできます。
