Hot = 熱い、流行ってる。これは何だか日本語と使い方が似ていますね。
The place to be for ramen = ラーメンだったらここだろ、なニュアンスです。

ラーメンはインスタントが出てから海外でも（特に貧乏学生）食べる事が大分増えたのでramenと言っても伝わりますがnoodle shop（麺屋）とも言ったりします。

A colloquial way of saying somewhere is a good region for something specific is to say it is "(something)-central" So in this instance you would say "Ramen-central" but you could use it to describe anywhere where there is a large amount of something.
If somewhere is well-known for something specific you can say "This area is famous for..."
Another English idiom is to say you are "spoilt for choice" which means there are so many good places to choose from you may find it hard to know where to eat.
