私はカナダ人と結婚しましたが、夫婦別姓ですし、北アメリカやヨーロッパではそれほどめずらしいことではありません。ハイフンで両方の名字を繋げて使用(hyphenated last name)する人もいます(私ならTomoko Goto-Murdockです)。ただし、子供がいるカップルの場合、どちらの名字を子供が名乗るかで問題になる為、夫の名字に合わせる女性がいることも確かです。
