充電ケーブルの根元が折れて配線が剥き出しだが使えるって英語でなんて言うの？

【英語は合理的】（半面、【日本語は非合理的で空気を読む】）という原則に従うと、常に英語の文章はイメージが明確に浮かび、絵で書くことが出来ます。「根本」という日本語は、どちらの根元？（ケーブルだと2か所ある？）の絵を描くことが出来ないためこのように表現しました。

いくつか言い方が考えられますが、例えば、 The base of my charging cable is bent and the wiring is exposed, but it still works. 「充電ケーブルの根元が折れて配線が剥き出しだが、使える」

また少し変えて、 My charging cable is broken at the base and the wires are showing, but it still functions. や The bottom part of my charging cable is damaged, the wires are exposed, but it’s still usable. というようにも表現できます。

さらに、「でも危ない」という部分も加えて、次のように言うことができます： But it's dangerous. 「でも危ない」
