Let's say you want the dog fetch something , you can simply say fetch. If you would like it to sit can say sit. To lift its paw ,can say lift paw and it should obey.

"Shake hands!" or, "Paw" = the command for a dog to shake hands.
"Sit" = the command for a dog to sit.
A "Sit Fido sit! Do you see he's sitting?"
B "Yes, he's such a clever dog!"
