*Would you like a hot/cold drink? *
Meaning= direct question asking about what drink they would like.
Hot= coffee/ tea and cold could get anything from Coke, water, soda- anything!
*Would you like a brew?*
Meaning= Brew- tea or coffee. This is a really English way of saying ‘would you like tea or coffee’. Mostly said in the Midlands and the North of England.
I would say this only in England, as I don’t think Europeans or Americans would know what you’re saying!
*Can I get you something to drink?*
Meaning= this could be a hot/cold drink.
*You can also say*
‘It’s 5 o clock somewhere!’ This can be an answer for ‘would you like a beer
(or any alcoholic drink) at a time that wouldn’t be normal to drink. Meaning somewhere in the world its 5 o clock, and 5pm is an acceptable time to drink.
This is usually said at a time that isn’t normal to drink alcohol (which is totally subjective) but anything before lunchtime in the UK would be unusual to drink alcohol (unless its Christmas, birthday or your wedding day!)
*Would you like a hot/cold drink? *

It is polite to offer someone a drink when they visit your home and the usual drink in the UK would be tea or coffee. However, if it is a friend or family member or someone you know from work, for example, you may well also offer them an alcoholic drink - especially if it is later in the day.
Something a little stronger = an alcoholic drink of some kind.
"Hi James. Nice of you to stop by! Please come in"
"Thanks."
