2. Prefer- you enjoy one activity more than another.
3. Take part- shows that you like to be active or involved in something rather than just watching it.
I prefer to participate rather than watch baseball.
I enjoy playing baseball but not watching it.
"I prefer" means I enjoy.
"Participate." Means to take part in or play.
"Rather than" means instead of.
"I enjoy playing" means you like to play baseball.
"But not watching it" means you do not like watching it.

This is short and sweet and tells someone you only want to play not watch.
I only like to take part not observe - take part means be involved or play - not watch.
