It depends really on the context of your conversation. If you are talking about lifetime experiences, then probably, it is better to use the present perfect form as in example sentence 2. If you are listing the places where you have studied English, then if the experience is in the past, the past simple is adequate, as in the first example sentence.
By adding ed to the word study you are making it past tense. The same with the word attend. The word previous means before. You need to reference it on your time line as before the conversation you are having.
