Hey there Rei! ユーコネクトのアーサーです。 ものと使う時、「[ほとんど](https://eikaiwa.dmm.com/uknow/questions/32538/)」は「almost all」です。 Almost all people in Tokyo take the train 東京のほとんだの方々は電車に乗る でも動詞と使うときは「almost」だけです。 ですが、「〜ほとんど[使わない](https://eikaiwa.dmm.com/uknow/questions/66584/)」という言い方は「never」も入れます。 ほとんど使わない I almost never use it その映画をほとんど見ない I almost never watch that movie. また、簡単に「never」だけ使っても意味が伝わります。 I never watch that movie I never use facebook. I have an account, but I never use it. よろしくお願いします。 アーサーより

  • ①I have my FB account, but I hardly use FB any more.

  • ②I rarely update my pics or status on FB.

    play icon

  • ③I seldom post stuff on FB.

●FBのアカウントはある I have my FB account →「[アカウント](https://eikaiwa.dmm.com/uknow/questions/37912/)」は日本語と同様にaccountを使います。 ●[ほとんど](https://eikaiwa.dmm.com/uknow/questions/32538/)~ない ① hardly(ほとんど~ない) →「程度」が「ほとんどない」を表す副詞です。 (例) I could hardly sleep last night.(昨夜ほとんど眠れなかった。) ② rarely([めったに~ない](https://eikaiwa.dmm.com/uknow/questions/4549/)) →「頻度」が「ほとんどない」を表す副詞です。③のseldomよりカジュアルです。①のhardly use を rarelyに置きかえることができます。今回の日本文の言いたいところとしては「使用頻度」のほうが強いと思いますので, ①よりかは②③がオススメ。I rarely/seldom use FB any more にして使ってください。 (例) I rarely go to the movies.(めったに映画に行かない) ③ seldom(ほとんど~ない) → カジュアルな感じにするとrarelyになります。 ●(FB)を使う ① use → any more([もはや](https://eikaiwa.dmm.com/uknow/questions/59133/)~ない)をつけると, 「今はやっていないんだな」という事実が全面に出ます。 ② update my pics or status ③ post stuff → 「FBを使う」を具体的に言うと「写真アップ」「ステータス更新」「投稿」が挙げられます。②は「写真やステータスを更新する」です。pics = picturesのこと。③は「何を投稿する」で, stuffは「漠然としたもの」を表し, thing(こと・もの)をカジュアルにした表現です。

To tell someone you don't really use Facebook as a social media profile you can use the words, rarely, or hardly ever to tell them how little you use the web page. Hope this helps Teacher Jemxii

You can also state that you do hardly every use Facebook or you rarely use it. In the first sentence suggestion, I wrote that you are not active. This can express your usage on the platform. Being inactive is another way of saying that you do not log into your account and that you do not use it regularly.
ほとんど使わないという意味で、hardly every use Facebook または、 rarely use itと言うこともできます。 最初の例では、not activeと書きましたが、これはフェイスブックの使用のことを意味します。 Being inactiveとは、アカウントにログインぜず、頻繁に使わないという別の表現です。

There is a wide variety of users of Facebook and obviously some may use it more and some may use it less or hardly at all. When mentioning your particular relationship with the site you may use an appropriate adverb of time to explain your usgae: sometimes, occasionally, frequently, rarely, hardly ever, never, often, infrequently, always, almosty every day ."I infrequently check Facebook"

  • I am never on Facebook.

  • I am rarely on Facebook

    play icon

  • My Facebook is not updated

    play icon

In English this phrase translates as "I am never on FB", "I am rarely on FB" and "My FB is not updated". All have the same idea but are slightly different. Many native English speakers tend to dramatize things. Therefore, in the first phrase the word "never", is a hyperbole or an exaggeration not meant to be taken literally. With this phrase, the speaker would be expressing that he/she has an account opened but does not check it often. The next phrase is more literal. It explains that you do not check it frequently but implies that you still log on from time to time. The last phrase gets right to the point but leaves the listener room to infer. It expresses that yes you do not log on often and that you hardly use FB. However, it could also imply that the speaker does not know how to, does not have the time to or just does not have the motivation to update the social media site.

使う際は"to"をつけてください ("log in to Facebook"). "check" (チェックする) ”post" (投稿する)。"To"を付けてください("post to Facebook", "post pictures to Facebook" - 写真をFacebookに投稿する)

All of these sentences could be used, if not for different words, they all mean the same. For example - Social media takes too much time, that's why I decided not to be active on facebook.
上の文どれも使うことができます。使っている言葉は違いますが、意味は全て同じです。 例えば: Social media takes too much time, that's why I decided not to be active on facebook. (SNSをやっていると時間があっという間に過ぎてしまうので、使わないことにした)
