  • forgot to eat (my lunch)

例:「あまりにも忙しくて、お昼を食べていないのに気付かず・・・」 ”I was so busy I forgot to eat!” は、 ”It was already 3pm when I realized.”

  • I skipped my lunch.

I skipped my lunch. I missed my lunch. It was already 3pm when I noticed that I'd skipped my lunch.

  • I completely forgot about lunch time

  • I was so busy I didn't realize I forgot to eat

"I completely forgot about lunch time" is a common phrase, specially with the word "completely" because it implies total or complete forgetfulness since you put the words "completely" and "forgot" right next to eachother. This expression can be used with anything you forget, for example: "I completely forgot to brush my teeth" "I completely forgot to do the laundry" "I completely forgot to dress up like a dinosaur last halloween" Also the expression "I was so busy I didn't realize I forgot to eat" works to express that you were simply busy and didn't realize the pass of time. "I didn't realize" means "I didn't notice"
"I completely forgot about lunch time" これは、完全な、を表すcompletelyと一緒によく使われるフレーズですね。 "I completely forgot to brush my teeth" 完全に歯磨きを忘れていた。 "I completely forgot to do the laundry" 洗濯物洗うの完全に忘れていた。 "I completely forgot to dress up like a dinosaur last halloween" 前のハロウィーンじゃ恐竜の恰好する予定だったのに完全に忘れてた。 また、I was so busy I didn't realize I forgot to eatという表現も良いでしょう。 I didn't realizeはI didn't noticeと同義です。

It can happen to any of us. There are times when we are so busy with whatever we are doing, that we forget to eat. If this happens to you and you want to express this in English, here are a few suggested ways to say this:- 1. I was so busy that I forgot to eat lunch. 2.I was so busy that I didn't remember to eat lunch. 3. I was so taken up with work that I omitted eating lunch. Here are some example sentences:- 1. • I was preoccupied and forgot to eat lunch.

Preoccupied means that you are distracted by the things that you are doing. This is another way of saying that you were busy. It can also mean that you were so focused on something that you forgot to do something else.

  • I forgot to eat

  • I skipped lunch today

If you accidentally or on purpose miss / do not eat a meal (breakfast, lunch or dinner) you are able to use one of these expressions, To 'Forget' simply means you did not remember to eat a meal / snack. To "Skip" is another term used for miss. "I am going to skip school today as I am ill".
