structure = 構成
構成は英語でstructureやcompositionと言います。Structureは「[形](https://eikaiwa.dmm.com/uknow/questions/34004/)」というニュアンスがあります。Compositionは「何で出来ているか」というニュアンスがあります。
家族構成であれば、family structureもfamily compositionも大丈夫ですが、family structureの方をよく聞きます。

「家族構成」にすると:
１）"family structure"か"structure of the family"が一番適切な英訳だと思います。
２）"family makeup"か"makeup of the family"も普通な言い方ですが、"makeup"は化粧の"makeup"として解釈してしまう恐れが少しあるので、１）を使った方がいいです。
３）"family composition"か"composition of the family"：私にとって、"composition"は冷たくて科学的すぎる用語なので、生物学の話以外はあんまり使いません。
「家族構成」をそのまま英語に訳すと「family makeup」などになります。
「family makeup」は「家族構成」という意味の名詞です。
「family」は「家族」です。
「makeup」が「構成」を表します。

→4人家族です。

→何人家族ですか。

*family structureは少しフォーマルな聞こえなので、カジュアルな会話の中で家族のことを説明する場合は下記の方が自然かと思います：

"My family is made up of〜" のかわりに "My family includes〜" または "My family is comprised of〜" でも「含まれている」という意味になります。どれを使っても結構です。
