You recommendation was impressive. I will eat there again!
Saying thank you for a recommendation is common courtesy in the English language. If someone recommended a restaurant and you visited you could let them know that your experience was pleasant. 'I had a pleasant experience at the restaurant you recommended'. You can also let them know how the food tasted. Was it delicious? What did you order? Would you go there again!
Hope this helps

"I had a pleasant experience at the restaurant you recommended."
