This is a polite request because you use 'please'. In the UK, we don't normally say trash, we would say rubbish or bins.

In the Uk we use the term rubbish or refuse we don't tend to use the words trash/garbage as much
if you said "could you/would you take out the rubbish please?" you are asking for someone to take the rubbish out for you.
By saying "would you mind taking out the rubbish please" it is more of a polite and asking way so might be received better by the other person, adding please is always nice and polite
