  • Nice to meet you.

  • How do you do?

二回目以降は Nice to see you. It was nice to meet you. やIt was nice to see you.

  • It was really nice meeting you.

  • I'm really glad we met.

"It was really nice meeting you." This explains that you are happy you met the person. "I'm really glad we met." This expresses to the person that you are glad that you met each other.
"It was really nice meeting you." "I'm really glad we met."

  • Nice to meet you

  • It has been a pleasure to meet you.

  • Lovely meeting you

Depending on the formality of the situation your response for this will change slightly. If I was leaving a job interview I would respond "It has been a pleasure meeting you", whereas if I was leaving a party where I have just met someone I would say "lovely meeting you" or "Its been great meeting you". Either way, in any situation it is always polite to acknowledge that it has been a positive experience meeting someone for the first time.
It has been a pleasure meeting you.

  • It is a pleasure to meet you.

  • I am pleased to have made your acquaintance.

  • Pleased to meet you.

When we meet a new person, it is polite to let them know that we are glad to have met them. Usually, English speakers will do this by simply say "Nice to meet you". An old-fashioned and very formal way of saying "Nice to meet you" is "I am pleased to have made your acquaintance.". If you have met someone that you have heard of but never met, or have been waiting to meet for a long time you may like to say "It was nice to finally meet you.".
英語では大抵は「Nice to meet you(お目にかかれてうれしいです/はじめまして)」と言います。 「I am pleased to have made your acquaintance」は「Nice to meet you」という意味の、古い、とてもフォーマルな言い方です。

  • 1. Pleased to meet you

  • 2. How do you do?

  • 3. Hi!

Suggestion number 2 is more formal than suggestion number 3. 'Pleased to met you' is a common phrase used when speaking to someone for the first time. Eg. "Hi, my name's John." "Pleased to meet you, John."
例: Hi, my name's John.(私は、ジョンです) Pleased to meet you, John.(初めまして、ジョン)

  • It's a pleasure to make your acquaintance.

  • Nice to meet you.

  • It is a pleasure to meet you.

"It's a pleasure to make your acquaintance." Is the most formal out of the three that I have provided. It is used in business settings and grand events mostly. "Nice to meet you." Is a way of letting someone know that you liked meeting them. "It is a pleasure to meet you." Also means that said person is happy to meet someone.
"It's a pleasure to make your acquaintance." "Nice to meet you." "It is a pleasure to meet you."

  • Nice to meet you.

  • Where are you from?

When you meet someone new, most people just say, "Nice to meet you." If you want to start more of a conversation, you can ask a more personal question such as, "Where are you from?"
初めて会う人にはたいてい"Nice to meet you." もし、会話をさらに続けたい場合は、"Where are you from?"

  • Pleased to meet you.

  • It's very nice to meet you.

  • Pleased to make your acquaintance

When you're meeting someone for the first time, you might want to introduce yourself in the following way: You: Hello, my name is Tom. Person: Hi, I'm Jane. You: Pleased to meet you Jane / It's very nice to meet you Jane / Pleased to make your acquaintance Jane
You: Hello, my name is Tom. Person: Hi, I'm Jane. You: Pleased to meet you Jane / It's very nice to meet you Jane / Pleased to make your acquaintance Jane.
