  • Don't play with your food

  • Concentrate on eating please

  • Can you please focus on finishing your food

"Don't play with your food" This you can say to the child if they are playing with their food it tells them not to. "Concentrate on eating please." This politely asks the child to stop playing and focus on eating their food. "Can you please focus on finishing your food" This is a more firm but polite way of telling the child to stop playing and concentrate on finish eating their food.
例文 "Don't play with your food" 食べ物で遊ばないで! 例文 "Concentrate on eating please." 例文 "Can you please focus on finishing your food" 食べ終わることに集中してくれる?

  • Do not play with your food whilst you are eating.

  • Finish eating and then afterwards you can play.

1. Mainly used and directed at children. Children delay eating by sculpting and playing with their food to the point it becomes cold and inedible. 2. This phrase can be used to direct the child to finish their lunch/dinner and once this task is complete they are able to play with their toys.

  • Sit still and finish your food

  • Stop fidgeting and eat up

  • Stop wriggling and finish your meal

To 'fidget' and 'wriggle' is to move your body. Adults usually wriggle or fidget when they are nervous or impatient, but children seem to do it almost all the time! Therefore, we often use these two particular words to describe the way in which children cannot sit still for any extended period of time.

  • Please concentrate on your food!

  • Stop messing about at the table!

Explanation:- You can ask your child to concentrate on eating their meal. To mess about = to play or not be serious about something. Sample sentence:- "Stop messing about with the TV - you will break it!"
例文: "Stop messing about with the TV - you will break it!"

  • Don't play games while you are eating / while you are at the table!

  • Stop playing while you are having your lunch / dinner!

  • Please don't play while you are eating. It is bad manners.

This kind of message is often delivered using imperative mode (giving a command or order for someone to do something) "At the table" normally means while eating at the table. You can also tell the child to "leave it alone and eat your dinner", whatever it is that is distracting them.
