入学って英語でなんて言うの？

入学または学校に入るということは"enrollment"や"enter a school"で大丈夫です。そして、「入学式」は"entrance ceremony"や"enrollment ceremony"と言います。

上記に書いてるのは入学式です。

日本では4月入学ですが
アメリカだとほぼ９月ですね。

My son started high school this year.
→息子が今年高校に入学しました。

My daughter starts school in April.
→娘が4月に小学校に入学します。

In Japan, school starts in April.
→日本では4月から学校が始まります。

入学することは「start」などを使って表せます。
「start」は「始める」「始まる」という意味です。

「start school」は「小学校に入学する」という意味です。

入学は英語で色んな言い方がありますが2つのは "start school" 又は "enter school"です。enter schoolは同じく伝えるんですが、新しい学校を入るニュアンスもありますね。

卒業ではなく、普通に学年を上がる時はstart school の方がいいと思います。しかし、入学式の話については、school start ceremonyを言わないので、 school entrance ceremonyを言います。

アメリカで「入学」は "start school" と言います。「入学式」の場合、アメリカでほとんど行わいませんものの特別な言葉があります。"school entrance ceremony"と言えます。

例：
My son will start school elementary school from April. 「息子は4月から入学する」

The children are excited to start school. 「子供達は入学のは楽しみにしてます。」

Many schools hold school entrance ceremonies in April to welcome the news students. 「多くの学校では、4月に入学式を行い新入生を迎えます」

The school entrance ceremony was postponed to tomorrow. 「入学式は明日、延期になりました。」
