花見は外国人にも超人気になったからそのままで”hanami”を言えるけどまだ知らない人いるから”cherry blossom viewing”もあります。

朝の5時で場所を取った！

"場所取り" は英語ではこのようです。

to find a spot
to secure a spot

例えば
I'm going from the morning to find a spot for our cherry-blossom picnic.
朝から花見の場所取りをします。

Let's go find a spot for our cherry-blossom picnic.
花見の場所取りをしに行こう。

I found a great spot for hanami.
花見の素敵な場所を撮りました。

朝から花見の場所を取りにいきます。

日本にいる外国人と話している時に　hanami と言ったら伝えます。日本にいる外国人がよく英語で話している時に英語のセンテンスの中に hanami と言います。そんなに日本のことを知らない外国人とか、海外に行く時に cherry-blossom picnic とか言えば自然です。
