この場合、次のような言い方ができますよ。 ーI was hoping to borrow XX at the DVD rental shop, but they didn't have a copy of it. 「DVDのレンタル店でXXを借りたかったが、置いていなかった」 XXには借りたかったDVDのタイトルを入れてください。 ご参考まで！
