もちろんYukaさんのおっしゃっている通り、another beerだけで事は足りると思いますが、今回は飲み物の数え方もぜひ覚えていってほしいと思います。
ティーカップほどの大きさであれば、a cup of tea, a cup of coffeeとなり、お酒の席などのグラスとなれば、a glass of beer, a glass of wine, a glass of vodkaとなります。またペットボトルや、お酒のボトルとなると、a bottle of water, a bottle of whiskeyとなります。
"Can I order another beer please?" is that you can say politely asking to order another beer.
When asked if you would like another drink you can say, "I'll have another beer. Thank you"

All of these are well-used and repeated requests for another drink of the same type.

A: "Yes, a refill for him as well please."
これらはすべてよく使われる表現で、同じ飲み物をもう一杯お願いするときに使います。
A: "I drank that one so quickly! barman, another please! 早く飲んじゃった、バーテンさん、もう一杯よ！
B: "Certainly sir. And your friend?"「かしこまりました。ご友人はいかがですか？」
A: "Yes, a refill for him as well please."はい、彼にも一杯お願いします。
To ask for the same drink use the word 'another' it implies that you would like the same of something you have already had.
One of these: one of whatever you are holding or pointing at
"I would like another one of these please."
"Another round, please waiter!"
同じ飲み物を頼みたいときは、'another' を使いましょう。「今飲んだのと同じものが欲しい」のニュアンスになります。
One of these: 今持っているまたは指さしているものの一つ
"I would like another one of these please."（これをもう一つください）
"Another round, please waiter!"（もう一杯ずつお願いします）
another round' means 'same again'.
In other words you can use this when you want to order the same drink you have before.
If you have a beer you will get another one.
The same would apply to a glass of wine or a cocktail.
