foodie' is a term for someone who likes to eat food as a hobby. They like to try new restaurants, new pop-ups, new food in general. People make careers being a foodie.
They are just people with a passion for food!

A foodie, is modern English slang for someone that is passionate about food. Someone that enjoys eating, cooking, trying new dishes, and dining out.

If you love eating food then you could use the terms 'i love to eat' or 'i love eating'
Another way of saying this is 'I'm a food lover' which means you love food and eating it.

Gourmet = someone who is appreciative of quality, high class food
Foodie = someone who enjoys all aspects of food, from cooking it to eating it, and enjoys discovering new ideas and ingredients.
Ingredient = one of the basic foods which are prepared together to create a dish
Whilst something as simple as 'I love to eat' would be truthful, it could make you sound like a bit of a glutton
Glutton = someone who eats to excess

You can use these two simple statments to express that you love to eat.

1. I live to eat.
   This statement means that the sole purpose or reason for living was to eat. It means also that the life of this person revoles around food and eating food. This staement is sometimes used jokingly.

2. I am a "foodie"
   The term 'foodie' describes someone who loves to eat all different kinds of food, even try new foods. If you describe yourself as a "foodie" it means that you are very interested in eating food!
