授業の時間が終わると、チャイムとかがなるので、「the bell had rung」と言います。

定刻の時間が過ぎているにも関わらず、という表現を英語で言うときは、以下の形が適用できます。 "Even though it's past the scheduled time, ..." これは、「スケジュールの時間を過ぎているにも関わらず、...」となります。 "Despite being past the designated time, ..." これは、「指定された時間を過ぎていても、...」となります。 授業の例で使うと、 "Even though it's past the schedule time, the class is still going on." （スケジュールの時間を過ぎているにも関わらず、授業はまだ続いています） "Despite being past the designated time, the lecture continues." （指定された時間を過ぎても、講義は続いています）
