Are you ready for dinner? そこで、”Is the dinner ready?" Have you already made dinner?"

  • Would dinner be ready?

Would dinner be ready yet? Can You go to the store?(普通) Would you go to the store? (丁寧) I want to eat cake. (普通) I would want to eat cake (丁寧) なので「would」を使うのがおすすめです。 Would it be possible to とても丁寧に可能性を尋ねる時、「would it be possible to」を使います。 Can I have a coffee? (普通) May I have a coffee? (丁寧) Would it be possible to have a coffee?

The first two sentences are fine if you want to straight forwardly ask if dinner is ready. However, depending on the situation, it may not be appropriate to ask so directly. In that case, you can ask, "do you need any help with preparing dinner?" The host will most likely give a response that will indicate if dinner is already finished or how much longer until it is finished. You could also say, "would you like for me to help you finish preparing dinner" or "would you like for me to set the table?"
その場合は、"do you need any help with preparing dinner?" そのような場合、"would you like for me to help you finish preparing dinner" または、"would you like for me to set the table?"

  • When will dinner/supper be ready?

"Is dinner/supper ready?" This simply asks if the food is ready to eat. "When will dinner/supper be ready?" This asks them to tell you when the food will be ready to eat. "supper" and "dinner" Have the same meaning.
"Is dinner/supper ready?" "When will dinner/supper be ready?"

To ask this question, I recommend you to use one of these sentences. I prefer the first one because it's a more polite version.
