Would you let me confirm whether my understanding is correct? とかでいいのでしょうか？ understandingはrecognitionでもいいですか？

質問者様の英語はOKだと思いますが、少し堅いです。それならば、もうちょっとスタイルをかけられる、かっこいいフレーズがあります。「Let me check we're on the same page here」。 "On the same page"は、認識に相違がない様子を表している、質問者様にとってパーフェクトなフレーズです。＊ちなみに、 recognition はあっていません。 Understanding で正しいです。

Let me check if I am understanding this correctly.

on the same page = 直訳：同じページにいる。つまり、同じ考え、お互いに理解できている、という意味のフレーズです。よく使います。（例：Are we all on the same page? みんなわかりましたか？） check = 確認。confirm でも大丈夫です。 Recognitionは少し違うのでこの場合ですと Understanding が一番適していると思います。
