「だらしない」を調べたら、上記の例文１のような意味が出ます、「spoil」や「depend on the other for money」と違って。「careless」「lax」「sloppy」とかは「だらしない」という意味です。そういう意味を表現したいなら、日本語の方があってないかもしれません。
「相手に頼りすぎ」「依存的になる」という意味を表現したいなら、例文２はそういう意味です。
「spoil」（「一人が甘えん坊になる」とか）を使いたいなら、こう言えます：
If they live together, one of them will get spoiled (by the other).
2人で住んでいると一方が甘えん坊になる（もう一人のせいで）。

この場合、次のような言い方ができますよ。
