手前に置いててって英語でなんて言うの？

1) Can you put that out front?
「手前に置いておいて。」
put 物 out front で「物を手前に置く」

2) Can you put that at the front of the shelf so I can reach it easily.
「すぐ取れるように棚の手前に置いておいてくれる？」
put 物 at the front of the shelf で「棚の手前に物を置く」

closer to the frontは、「前部の近くに」が直訳ですが、「前の方に」はこのように表現します。
この場合は、
