Movies have a "lead actor" a "main character" who the movie is about. The lead actor has the biggest role to play in the movie. The "main character" also known as a "protagonist" is the center of the movie and he makes all decisions. The main actor in movies is the person who survives any good or bad scenes the movie may have. Sometimes in movies, they need people just to sit and be part of an audience for a scene those people are called the movie extras.

映画には、「lead actor（主演俳優）」「main character（主役）」がいます。「lead actor」は、その映画のなかで主役を演じます。「main character」は、映画の中心になる人のことで、「protagonist（主役）」とも呼ばれます。主演俳優は、映画で最後まで生き残ります。
時に映画では、ただ座って、聴衆の一部になる人も必要です。そういう人たちのことを「movie extras（映画のエキストラ）」と言います。
