イベント参加は定員制なので、イベント開始を知らせるアナウンス後に並んだ先着順となることを伝えたいです。

もう一つの言い方を述べました。
we will start accepting participants はよく使う表現です。
we will start accepting applicants (applicant = 応募者) こういう風にも仕事や進学などの場合にもよく使えます。
